Spirit Halloween and Goodyear Release Blimp-Inspired Costume

Spirit Halloween and Goodyear have introduced a new Halloween costume based on the Goodyear Blimp.

The costume is made from lightweight materials and includes a battery-powered fan for inflation. Its design is modeled after Goodyear's recognizable airships, which have appeared at sporting events and other public gatherings for decades.

Kym Sarkos, executive vice president of Spirit Halloween, said the partnership was intended to bring the Goodyear Blimp into the company's Halloween merchandise lineup.

Julianne Roberts, Goodyear's senior director of marketing, said the company has seen fans create their own versions of the blimp costume over the years.

The partnership makes an officially licensed version available to consumers for the first time, according to the companies.

Spirit Halloween operates more than 1,550 seasonal stores across North America and sells costumes, decorations and other Halloween merchandise.

Goodyear is one of the world's largest tire manufacturers. The company employs about 63,000 people and operates 48 manufacturing facilities in 19 countries.

The officially licensed inflatable costume costs $79.99 and is being sold exclusively through Spirit Halloween's website while supplies last. The costume is available through Spirit Halloween while supplies last.
